Wim Couwel was a Dutch graphic designer who specialised in typography and logo designs. I noticed his work shortly after developing my logo designs, and his work reminded me of my minimal logo design for my own branding. His work consists of 2D shapes overlapping another without any attention to detail.
Although his work is about 50 years old, his work is an example of what you see today. His work appears to look like it would have been an influence of minimal logo designs today, and the use of bold and thick lines contrasting with another and merging shapes. I personally really like his style of work, it is simple but easy to see and recognise. His style of what is what I want to show in my work, the idea of simplicity in the logo and how it could branch off into almost anything.
